POS (Point of Sale) and ERP process streamlined successfully for retail chain

Top Catch Ltd approached Bizex seeking a solution that could streamline their entire business process, all the way from conducting sales across their many stores to the important accounting processes carried out in their ERP system.

Their existing POS was outdated and separate from their ERP system. This meant that tweaks and modern POS features that they wanted to take advantage of were extremely hard to implement. This also led to a lot of manual work having to be done in the POS and in their ERP system to bring transactions through.

The day-to-day process of staff was observed in-store, and they were interviewed regularly regarding what quality of life changes and new features would improve efficiency. Given the ambition of their scope, the Bizex web-based POS was recommended, as it meant that it could easily be tailored to their needs, as well as have new functionality added to suit Top Catch’s retail branches down the road. Top Catch was also moved to a cloud-based ERP system, offering the same flexibility but importantly allowing seamless live integration with the POS system across all stores, giving the Head Office real-time insight into the entire business.

With both the POS and ERP systems working together, other processes were able to be streamlined. This generated savings around inventory purchasing by making sure each branch had the correct amount of inventory items available.
